Maeve Dunigan is a writer originally from Baltimore, MD, now based in Brooklyn, NY. Her debut satire and essay collection, Read This To Look Cool, is slated for publication fall 2025 from Sourcebooks.
She is a regular contributor to The New Yorker. Her work has also appeared in McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Reductress, Mountain Gazette, Mic, and on NPR’s Selected Shorts. Additionally, she’s a staff writer at Vox Media, where she covers pets and wildlife for The Dodo.
Maeve co-hosts Some Fun Lines, a monthly open mic and quarterly show dedicated to prose humor. She’s half of the musical sketch duo Pigeon, of Pigeon Presents, a comedy variety show that’s been featured in TimeOut New York.
